    imgburn disc not empty error

Hello. I really appreciate this friend, I understand that you are going beyond Imgburn software support here!

    Can DVD R be erased?

CD-R, DVD-R and DVD+R discs cannot be erased.

In fact, I will mention that I managed to get it to work several times by turning the computer off and on again. Then this report can be a conviction that all is well!

Can you burn a non blank CD?

If this kind of full disc burn were a non-erasable full disc, you might get lucky if you had almost all sessions closed but one disc open, but somehow, depending on all probability, you could not win. I can’t use this tool (at least don’t throw away this disc), sorry.

  • Have you tried burning a beautiful ISO file using Windows itself to complete the burning process? If not, have you just tried writing files to a real drive in Explorer/Windows, using the entire drive as a giant floppy disk? If Windows also can’t write to real drives, it’s either a Windows configuration issue or your own drive is dying.

If you used a different drive, was it the same MCC Manufacturer ID/Drive ID/DID that you released earlier? Have you ever managed these drives? MCC discs shouldn’t be much of a problem, as they are high quality Verbatim/Mitsubishi discs. But not all readers really like manufacturers. If you’ve never used these disk options before, it might be worth trying a different type of MID to see if anything happens.

How do I fix disk not empty?

Press Win + R to actually open the Run window, type diskmgmt. In Disk Management, right-click on the dynamic disk someone wants to convert and select “Delete Volume” from the pop-up after it becomes Unallocated space.

Hello. I have the same problem but with DVD-R. Can I only burn dvd+r, but when I insert dvd-r, imgburn says the disc is not empty.

Could this be the Burner situation? By the method used, I’m using 2.4.4.0. Thanks to Modern for the help!
